We focus our teaching around mental health and physical awareness.
Our program is highly adaptable, allowing us to tailor our content to the specific needs of each group we work with, ensuring all participants remain engaged throughout the sessions.
Our program has a profound impact on the physical and mental health of the communities we visit.
ABOUT
Hands On Circus brings joy, happiness and learning to communities that often get left out. We are a passionate group of acrobats that want to share the magic of circus far and wide with kids in remote communities. We deliver programs through circus arts but our programs are so much more. Our mission is to promote mental health and physical awareness through inspiring youths to find what they love about life, to try new things, move, be grateful and see life through fresh eyes. Our passion lies in helping individuals discover excitement and love for things they may not have known existed. The program includes different layers that all blend to support the community in the most positive way.
Our programs have been warmly received by local schools and community groups seeking to combat the rising crime rate and provide positive outlets for children in their communities.
We dedicate a month each year to share the wonder of circus throughout the Kimberley and are always looking for opportunities in other areas.
Join us on this exciting journey of movement, creativity, and empowerment. Together, let's inspire and uplift the next generation!

Testimonials
We were privileged to have Tori and the crew come and visit us and do some workshops with our students last year. As a remote community, our students had never experienced such activities before. The presenters were very understanding of our context, and gave our students a wonderful experience! Our students had never had such an experience as seeing the circus moves that were demonstrated to them – and to see it with real people, rather than on a screen was very exciting. The workshop with the hola-hoops was the most popular - and hola-hooping is continuing to be very popular in the playground.
The timing of the activities for our students was just right.
I would recommend the workshop to any school.
Thank you for your interest in our students.
Victoria Mclarty and her circus troupe visited Kununurra in 2018 and performed to students of the YES (Youth Engagement Strategy) Program. YES is an alternative education program formally attached to Kununurra District High School and run collaboratively with Save the Children. This program caters to the social, emotional and academic needs of Indigenous youth who have been long-term disengaged from any mainstream schooling, frequent the Juvenile Justice system, have a high street presence and are deemed often at very high risk.
The circus performance engaged the students the whole time and elicited both laughter and
wonderment at the acts. The workshop following the performance was a great success with the
students. They learnt how to make their own hoola hoops and poi as well as how to use them
effectively for performance.
The students discovered new skills they did not know they had, the joy of performing and were very
keen for the troupe to return and deliver an extended series of more intensive workshops.
The YES Program would most definitely engage the circus troupe again if they were to re-visit Kununurra.
